Alexander’s Story

Some people leave footprints wherever they go. Alexander left them in hearts.

Alexander lived with a courage, kindness, and spirit that inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him. From a young age, he had an inquisitive mind, a deep love for nature and animals, and a generosity that came naturally to him. Throughout his journey, he faced challenges that would have overwhelmed many, yet he continued to live with determination, laughter, compassion, and an unwavering love for life.

Just before his 14th birthday, Alexander passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer, having faced the disease since the age of 11. During his journey, he became a passionate advocate for childhood cancer awareness, using his fight to inspire hope and encourage others.

But Alexander's story is not really about cancer.

It is the story of a boy who brought people together. A boy who inspired courage, kindness, and generosity. A boy whose influence continues to grow long after his passing.

Many charities begin with a cause. Alexander's Wish begins with a person.

Our Initiatives

The Spring Cake Fair

Bringing the community together to celebrate the sweetest affair in town, as we bake, share, and make a meaningful difference in the life of a local child fighting cancer.

Alexander’s Great Forest

Growing a living legacy of hope through a community re-tree initiative, restoring nature and creating a lasting environmental legacy in partnership with the Garden Route Botanical Garden following the devastating May 2026 storm.

Alexander’s Christmas Wish

Keeping Alexander's spirit of kindness and generosity alive by giving to children fighting cancer, ensuring they experience hope, joy, and cherished memories during the holiday season when they need it most.

Our Mission

Alexander's Wish exists to transform a legacy of courage, kindness, and hope into meaningful action that benefits communities, families, and future generations.

Inspired by Alexander's life, we create opportunities for people to come together, support one another, and make a lasting difference through fundraising initiatives, environmental projects, community events, and acts of compassion.

Our mission is to honour Alexander's memory by fostering hope where it is needed most, encouraging kindness in action, and building a legacy that continues to grow through every life touched.

Through every project we undertake, we strive to remind people that even the smallest act of generosity can create a ripple effect of positive change.

Together, we are turning remembrance into impact, and a single wish into a lasting legacy.

Each project represents a unique expression of the same purpose:

The lasting impact of one young life on a community.
